What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appraiser's Assistant position at Navarro Central Appraisal District?
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented person to join our team as an Appraiser's Assistant . The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently outside of the office occasionally, gathering property data to aide the appraisers in the valuation of property.
Auto allowance will be paid for use of personal vehicle to conduct on-site inspections. You must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and vehicle must be insured.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of improved properties in the county.
- Utilize CAMA software and GIS tools to gather data and rate property characteristics.
- Conduct on-site inspections to validate qualifications for exemptions and special valuations ("ag").
Experience
- Some experience in real estate appraisal is beneficial.
- An understanding of GIS technology for mapping is beneficial.
- Skills in data collection is beneficial for success in this role.
- A commitment to continuous learning about standards and best practices in appraisal methodologies.
