Are you looking to join an expanding team at an AmLaw100 firm? Nelson Mullins is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Securities Group in DC, Nashville, Raleigh or Atlanta.
A Day in the Life:
As a Nelson Mullins associate, you’ll be joining the ranks of over 800 attorneys and a Firm culture that will offer you a broad practice platform that is also personal enough to provide individual client attention no matter your office location. You’ll be joining an established team that represents private and public companies in a variety of transactions, such as initial public offerings, mergers and asset purchases, debt financings, and other diverse business transactions and agreements. You will help your team to serve as outside general counsel to public company clients, providing guidance to management and the board regarding public company reporting requirements, corporate governance and compliance, and other ongoing matters important to the clients’ businesses and growth opportunities. You have 4-6 years of experience working at a large law firm in public company securities transactions and reporting requirements, with experience in mergers & acquisitions. You are well-versed in the ’33 and ’34 Acts and feel comfortable reviewing and preparing SEC filings, as well as advising clients on reporting and compliance obligations under those laws and the SEC’s rules. With excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communications skills, you engage in your work with a productive and positive attitude. You are a member of the Washington, DC bar, or admitted to and in good standing with another state's bar (Tennessee, Georgia, or North Carolina).
