What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Administrator position at NEP Group Inc.?
Purpose:
As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible to grow and maintain our multiple location wide area networks along with managing the associated computing infrastructure that is currently supporting our employees. This includes identifying network requirements for integrating future acquisitions and expansion; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain a multi-location LAN/WAN and converged networks with 99.6% uptime requirement by performing network monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting network problems.
- Responsible for all network administration duties including but not limited to configuration maintenance, security and telco installations.
- Install, configure, and maintain RingCentral Unified Communications environment at all corporate locations.
- Conduct performance monitoring and provide appropriate system modifications to guarantee responsive system uptime and performance, including system failure analysis, recovery and continual security monitoring.
- Customer service oriented and capable of participating in project meetings with technical and non-technical customers.
- Responsible for network and voice integrations of acquisitions.
- Upgrades network and phone system by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
- Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
- Work closely with other IT personnel across the globe to integrate and manage network environments.
- Provide 2nd tier technical support to employees and contractors.
- Provide on-call support which may involve working nights, weekends and traveling to NEP locations as necessary.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate certification or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years hand on experience with maintaining all aspects of a comparably sized network.
- In depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, Cisco Switches, Firewalls, Internet domains.
- Strong aptitude in CISCO IOS, VPN, VOIP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, SSL, PRTG, QOS.
- Must have an excellent grasp of Unified Communications, multiple Firewall models (Fortigate, Palo Alto), Meraki switches/wireless access points, and telecommunications billing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills along with well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
