Join our Assisted Housing Team dedicated to providing direct assistance to very low-income households through the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
We’re hiring a full-time Rental Assistance Manager for our Assisted Housing Division.
You will:
- Administer the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Moderate Rehabilitation Rental Assistance Programs in accordance with HUD regulations and NH Housing Administrative Plan
- Determine eligibility, including rent calculations, educating owners and participants on program guidelines, and interpreting legal documents necessary for the administration of these programs
- Assist prospective participants in locating suitable units and contact current owners and apartment complexes regarding vacancies
What’s required?
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to understand and interpret federal regulations and state rental property laws
- Ability to relay complex information in common terms, and to think analytically and make decisions
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
- At least five years' relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience, Bachelor's degree in a related field a plus
- Ability to read and speak Spanish is preferred, but not required
