Summary/Objective
The Sweets at Liberty Park Staff is expected to provide outstanding customer services and delicious food and drinks. The staff will also need to work with clients of New Horizons on a daily basis at Sweets at Liberty Park. The staff is responsible for the daily operations of Sweets.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:

- Following SafeServe protocol making sure we are compliant with the Board of Health
- Ensuring good quality food and beverage is prepared and sold to our customers
- Greet customers, take orders, prepare food, and operate a cash register
- Proper cleaning and sanitization of facility
- Work with all staff and clients to promote Sweets at Liberty Park and its Mission
- Support and promote our loyalty program
- Maintain a good working relationship with the Liberty Park staff
Knowledge
- Basic mathematics to calculate orders and prepare change
Skills & Abilities
Skills in the following areas are important for a personal to be successful in this role:
- Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
- Customer service and cash handling experience preferred
Education and Experience
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
Other Requirements
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Must prove ability to work in the United States based on the requirement of USCIS Form I-9

If transporting clients:
- Have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license
- Maintain vehicle insurance coverage
- Have a reliable vehicle in good repair if transporting people served in personal vehicle
- Maintain an acceptable driving record with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
- Must be able to pass all applicable background checks.
- Must pass a drug test and TB screening.
- Must possess or be able to complete the requirement for First Aid/CPR certification
- Serve Safe Certification (preferred)
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This role routinely uses standard ice cream shop equipment such as cash registers, phones, ice cream machines.
- This position is occasionally performed in outside weather conditions.
- The worksite depends on where your client’s job shadow, look for or get jobs.
- This position can require the staff to be on their feet from 4 to 8 hours/day.
- There can be lite bending and lifting
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position: hours of operations are daily 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
