Overview
- Interns work 20-40 hours per week during the semester.
- All capital improvement projects integrate green design elements. Intern will work with the Capital Design and Construction Group and Park staff including landscape architects, engineers and architects to support the development of energy efficient, environmentally sensitive and sustainable design & construction projects.
- Obtain, evaluate and record field information for project(s).
- Assist staff with information gathering and surveys.
- Work with limited direction and supervision.
- Use computer software commonly used in design and construction.
- Work with team to develop successful project(s) or in support of projects.
- Prepare graphics including plans, details, presentation drawings, and written documents for report(s) and project(s).
- Support the development of guidance documents and training materials for staff.
- Job duties will be tailored to the intern’s skills and interests.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in engineering, environmental studies, architecture, landscape architecture, or similar discipline.
- Intern must have valid driver’s license to visit Park and Historic Sites located in the Hudson Valley Capital District.

Salary : $18 - $20
