Rochester-based engineering and automation company focused on process-based manufacturing is looking for a Project Manager who enjoys owning complex projects end to end. The team delivers custom-designed systems and professional services that support efficient, sanitary, and reliable operations.
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead complex engineering and automation projects from initial concept through commissioning and closeout. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage technical projects in fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environments.
Position Overview
This role owns the full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, execution, customer communication, and delivery. The Project Manager works closely with engineering teams and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and automation projects from kickoff through closeout
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and scope
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including process, electrical, and software engineers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers
- Review contract documents and manage project documentation
- Identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain project momentum
- Participate in system commissioning and startup activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in food, beverage, dairy, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of process-based manufacturing and engineering fundamentals
- Project management or construction management experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities
Salary : $115,000 - $120,000
