System Engineer

This role is ideal for a Systems Engineer who enjoys owning solutions end to end, working directly with customers, and collaborating with an experienced engineering team on well-designed, real-world network environments.

You’ll be involved in designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable network and infrastructure solutions. Beyond implementation, you’ll document configurations, create diagrams, and transfer knowledge to customers so solutions are sustainable long after deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and routing environments

• Resolve escalated network and infrastructure issues from internal teams

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain network hardware and software

• Support customer server and identity environments, including Active Directory and Entra ID

• Design solutions based on customer requirements and industry best practices

• Support and troubleshoot cloud connectivity and infrastructure, including Azure networking and identity services

• Evaluate and provide input on new technologies and architectural improvements

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

• Relevant networking, cloud, or security certifications are strongly preferred

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Strong experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting

• Hands-on experience with enterprise or SMB networking platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWall, or similar technologies

• Solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, DNS, and DHCP

• Experience supporting virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V

• Ability to support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, PowerShell, EDR solutions, and enterprise backup platforms
