Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Vision Services and Evaluations for School-Age Students

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in education for the Visually Impaired or a related field.
  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
  • Proven experience working with school-age children with visual impairments, including those with additional disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting Functional Vision Assessments (FVA) and Learning Media Assessments (LMA).
  • Certification in Orientation and Mobility (O&M) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with federal and state special education regulations.
  • Proficiency in braille and assistive technologies for the visually impaired.
