Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in education for the Visually Impaired or a related field.
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Proven experience working with school-age children with visual impairments, including those with additional disabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting Functional Vision Assessments (FVA) and Learning Media Assessments (LMA).
- Certification in Orientation and Mobility (O&M) is a plus.
- Familiarity with federal and state special education regulations.
- Proficiency in braille and assistive technologies for the visually impaired.
