Description
Utilizing Lean Six SIgma principles and practices, this position will assist in driving the overall manufacturing efficiency to reach product quality, efficiency and process repeatability. The position will lead focused improvement projects towards improving and optimizing manufacturing processes under the guidance of the Continuous Improvement Manager. The engineer will also support in the education and deployment of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies, strategies and policies driving sustainable lean transformation on the shop floor and the entire business operation

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Execute Lean Manufacturing techniques and design
- Develop work standards and line balancing for productivity
- Conduct time study analysis
- Optimize manufacturing processes to reach product quality, efficiency and process repeatability with focus on work flow and cell designs for productivity and safety advantages
- Plan, execute and manage projects completion through Lean Six Sigma methodology
- Identify, track and execute manufacturing cost reductions process improvements and provide ROI justifications for change
- Research and conduct cost benefit and data analysis to support continuous improvement projects through the stages of ideation, prioritization, and execution
- Communicate Continuous Improvement philosophy, vision and expectations
- Develop and sustain employees' training and development on Lean Six Sigma Concepts
- Develop measurement systems supporting lean six sigma manufacturing philosophy
- Implements controls to monitor capacity, throughput and costs to minimize production issues
- Create dashboards and scorecards to improve operations execution, empower associates, and provide insights on how to improve efficiencies
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years with proven experience utilizing Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing initiatives in production are preferred
- Green Belt, Lean Six Sigma Certification or higher with strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts
- Computer skills and proficiency with MS Office software
- Ability to observe business processes, ask questions and synthesize information from a variety of sources to develop understanding, map current and future business processes
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with engineered labor standards, doing time studies and pre-determine motion time systems preferred
- Knowledge of process controls techniques including statistical process control and data analysis techniques and ability to present them in meaningful visual format with conclusions preferred
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver commitments on time in a fast-paced environment
