Job Summary
Summer school high school campus monitors supervise students to ensure a safe, orderly, and positive environment during non-instructional times such as lunch, breaks, transitions, and before and after school. Responsibilities include monitoring students in cafeterias, hallways, parking lots, and common areas; patrolling the campus perimeter; checking for unauthorized individuals; intervening in potential conflicts or unsafe situations; enforcing school and district rules by addressing minor infractions and referring serious issues to administration; assisting students and building positive relationships; providing general support during breaks and study periods; and documenting incidents or concerns. This role helps maintain campus safety and organization, allowing teachers to focus on instruction during the condensed summer session.

Newark Memorial High School Summer School Schedule: June 1, 2026, to June 2, 2026 - Professional Development Days @ 7.5 hrs (Non-student days) Instructional day: 7:30 am - 6:30 pm. Nutritional Break 12:30 -1:30 pm. June 3, 2026 - June 5, 2026. Week 1, June 8, 2026 - June 12, 2026. Week 2, June 15, 2026 - June 16, 2026. Week 3.
