The Networks of Mid-Missouri is looking for someone who wants to help grow the station's news product while growing their own career. The company is looking for a part-time VIDEOGRAPHER. Job Description:
The Videographer's duties will include shooting video, conducting interviews, running a live truck and/or backpack live unit and using other multimedia tools to gather content for nightly newscasts, the station's news website and other online ventures. The successful candidate will be expected to function within the framework of a research-driven news department that emphasizes source cultivation, enterprise reporting and breaking news. Employee must have the flexibility to work in the modern newsroom and could be called upon to beat report, produce, web edit, etc.
Qualifications:
The right candidate must have a good eye for shooting, an understanding of broadcast video equipment including editing software and superior news judgment. He/she will have an appreciation for the elements that make a live television newscast more watchable. The candidate must work well under pressure, work well with other people and meet strict deadlines. This is a part-time position, scheduled weekends with flexibility required by the employee. A college degree in journalism, communication or a related field is preferred. Previous newsroom experience is a plus.
