What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Processor position at NFI Industries?
The Claims Processor is a part of the Claims Department. The claims processor researches and declines NOR, LOSS, and Damaged Shipment Claims. This is a fast paced opportunity that relies on high attention to detail, ability to multitask, and accommodate to company needs as things change.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
Sending requested documents to DC
Entering in New Claims into the Claims Spreadsheet
Retrieving files needed from various excel spreadsheets, online storage websites, and stored file’s
Contacting vendors on Claims pending to see if PO’s were short-shipped, cancelled or back ordered on high value claims
Updating various logs within claim information to ensure great record keeping is maintained
Maintaining a clean Claim File room
Checking IDOC’s to ensure that OS&D have been properly made by the dock associates
Researching & entering in overages
Filing carrier claims when deemed necessary
Requirements:
High School education or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse/cross-dock environment
Able to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing
Proficiency with MS Excel and Word
Able to work scheduled hours
Problem Solving Skills/ Innovative
Experience with SAP is a plus
Other:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift boxes up to 35 pounds as needed.
