What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Maker position at Nightingale Company?
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine specifications and materials needed for cabinet making
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to build cabinets according to specifications
- Install cabinets in residential or commercial settings
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as flooring installers and drywallers, to ensure proper installation and integration of cabinets
- Use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders, to complete cabinet making tasks
- Perform heavy lifting as required for moving materials and finished cabinets
Qualifications:
- Experience in cabinet making or related field preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation
- Familiarity with flooring installation, concrete forming, drywall installation, and roof installation is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting
- Excellent problem-solving skills in order to troubleshoot issues that may arise during cabinet installation
- Knowledge of the restoration industry is a bonus
