The Database Technician is responsible for assisting the Senior Database Engineer with day-to-day tasks, data validation, and routine system support to ensure that data used across the organization is accurate, organized, and ready for reporting.

What You Can Expect To Work On…
The Database Technician is responsible for assisting the Senior Database Engineer with day-to-day tasks, data validation, and routine system support to ensure that data used across the organization is accurate, organized, and ready for reporting.
- Running basic SQL queries and assist with data validation
- Updating and maintaining data tables under guidance
- Supporting Power BI dataset refresh checks and preparing data used in dashboards
- Utilizing Python for simple automation or data-preparation scripts
- Pulling and organizing data from SharePoint, MasterControl, and other systems.
- Preparing and cleaning Excel/CSV datasets
- Maintaining documentation, data dictionaries, and change logs
- Supporting light ETL workflows by running predefined processes
- Communicating with cross-functional stakeholders and clarifying routine data needs
- Associate’s degree in computer science or data science, information systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for measuring, and optimizing database performance and data integrity

- Understands your own communication and learning styles, can assess others’ styles, and is able to find the right path to best connect with colleagues
- Displays excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Exceptional aptitude with technology platforms
- 2 years of experience with SQL and basic understanding of relational databases
- 2 years of experience using Python for automation or data preparation tasks
- Demonstrated experience with Excel, CSV formatting, and data cleanup
- Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or data science, information systems or a related field
- 3 years of experience with SQL and strong understanding of relational databases
- 3 years of experience using Python for automation, data preparation, and validation tasks
- 3 years of experience in data modeling, analytics, or database fundamentals
- Hands on experience utilizing Power BI or other reporting tools for delivering actionable insights from complex database systems
- Strong proficiency and experience with Excel, CSV formatting and data cleanup
- Experience with SharePoint databases, MasterControl, or similar systems
