POSITION OBJECTIVE: To maintain the repair and safety of the facility to ensure quality and an exceptional experience for guests. Oversees maintenance of Casino buildings and grounds. Hands on work including plumbing, electrical repair, carpentry and general cleaning.

ESSENIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:
- Understands the operation of the Casino physical systems; hot water boilers, HVAC, elevators, septic, plumbing, electrical systems, etc., in order to repair or improve them and/or to assist external vendors in diagnosing problems.
- Reports to Engineer Supervisor/Facilities Manager/Assistant Facilities Manager regarding any issues or problems that arise on assigned shift.
- Make suggestions for improvements to procedures and products used in the Facilities Department.
- Maintaining, repairing and assembling kitchen equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems with any kitchen equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Five years of experience in all aspects of building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical repair, carpentry and servicing kitchen, HVAC equipment and hot water boilers.
- Provide a Driving Abstract
- Must have a valid Driver License and Driver’s abstract must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy.
- Ability to follow through with tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Some administrative ability including record keeping
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Possess excellent decision-making skills
- Demonstrates honesty in the workplace
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current knowledge of occupational safety issues
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License
Preferred skills, knowledge and behavior:
- HVAC maintenance or advanced carpentry skills
- Excellent guest service skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull
- Ability to stand or move around continuously for 8 or more hours
- Ability to reach up to a height of 69” while lifting items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment
