What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant / Per Diem position at North Beach Rehabilitation Center?
NORTH BEACH REHAB, A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY IN NORTH MIAMI, FL is seeking an experienced and motivated PER DIEM PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT to join our team.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, one of your duties will be to record the patient’s responses to treatments and report the outcome of each treatment to the physical therapist. You will keep the treatment area clean and organized and instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist parents as they practice exercises and functional activities.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Preparing for each patient’s therapy
- Assisting in the transportation of patients when moving to or from a treatment area
- Ordering depleted supplies
- Answering the phone
- Filling out insurance forms and other paperwork
- Reading patient evaluations
- Being very familiar with the Plan of Care the physical therapist set in place for any given patient and, if need be, relaying any concerns about the Plan of Care
- Administering balance and muscle strength tests
Requirements:
- Prior experience using NetHealth (documentation) and Point Click Care
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Being a graduate from an accredited PTA school and being PTA Certified in the state of Florida
- Being a professional and ethical team player
- Being CPR certified
- Possessing basic knowledge in all the modalities
- Understanding how a goniometer and dynamometer operate
- Ability to assist in the lifting, pulling and/or pushing or patients
- You must also be compassionate, caring and truly want to help your patients achieve their maximum physical potential
