Wound Care Nurse
North Beach Rehabilitation Center, a Skilled Nursing Facility located in North Miami, FL is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to work two days per week.
Position Description:
As a Wound Care Nurse, you will assess wounds incurred through accidents and surgical procedures to determine both immediate treatment needs and long-term treatment plans. You will make regular rounds to patients in your care, coordinate with supervising physicians regarding case management, and liaise between families and health care administrators. Before the patient is discharged, you will educate patients and families on care practices and methods to promote wellness and healing.
Wound Care Nurse Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on best practices to promote healing and wellness.
- Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery processes.
- Fulfill other nursing duties as required.
Wound Care Nurse Requirements and Qualifications:
- BSN degree (preferred).
- Current state licensure as a registered nurse (RN).
- CPR and basic life support (BLS) certifications.
- Certification and prior experience in wound care.
- Prior experience in inpatient and palliative care (preferred).
