What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Officer position at North Central Insulation?

North Central Insulation is a family owned and operated company that started in 1971. We are currently seeking to add a Human Resource Officer to our ever growing company. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, well organized, and multi-tasked individual. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The safety consultant is responsible for creating, preparing, maintaining and reviewing the organization's safety programs, safety meetings, policies and procedures.
  • Training employees on safety policies and procedures 
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, or near misses report accordingly, conduct follow up investigations as required or needed on reports written by company personnel which may include reviewing camera footage, and interviewing witnesses. Creating reports and determining ways to prevent similar accidents or near misses.
  • Perform monthly safety meetings by advising and leading employees on various safety-related topics throughout all branches of NCI. Also, perform meetings if policies and/or procedures are changed to both managers and crews.
  • Need to have the ability to teach others about safety standards
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams members
  • Ensure that the company is in compliance with and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries. Understanding of OSHA guidelines, other state and local safety regulations 
  • Research for safety grants 
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and on-boarding of new employees 
  • Update safety  and worker’s compensation posters posted throughout the divisions as necessary
  • Direct and oversee facility’s PPE selection, distribution, use, care, and maintenance 
  • Perform internal auditing and inspections
  • Maintain files and documentation related to safety inspections and operations
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable government compliance regulations, which may include OSHA, local and state regulations
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, review current safety training, SOP, and recommendations of revisions, improvements, and updates
  • Attend all required training courses from various sources and safety council meetings
  • Collaborate with all levels in the organization to build safety culture
  • Submits comprehensive written reports on all incidents involving violations of policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Enforce the rules, regulations and policies as applicable from local/state/federal laws, in order to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all employees
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, or near misses report accordingly
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Handle large volumes of data and classify properly
  • Perform other duties as assigned



This is a Monday through Friday full-time position. Professionalism and dedication are necessary, and traveling is a requirement for this position.
