What are the responsibilities and job description for the CTE Assistant Supervisor position at North Dakota Career and Technical Education?
Summary of Work
In the Assistant Supervisor role, you will help in providing leadership and technical assistance to instructors in the secondary and postsecondary areas of Family & Consumer Sciences Education and assist with the student organization, FCCLA. You will aid in providing technical assistance to schools to ensure quality programs and work with business and industry partners to align program standards and advocate CTE. In this role, you will work with a team in conducting professional development workshops and conferences.
To thrive in this position, you must have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask and be organized, reliable and professional in a changing work environment.
This position does require travel both in-state and out-of-state.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education and five years of administrative, program development or teaching experience. Possession of or able to obtain a valid North Dakota Family and Consumer Sciences professional teaching license.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Department of Career and Technical Education does not provide sponsorships. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel in and out of the state. Applicant must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted.
