Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Optometric Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess knowledge of medical terminology and Optometry
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including measuring visual acuity and performing initial tests
- Prepare examination rooms for appointments
- Maintain and update patient records in Epic or similar software
- Handle medical billing tasks as needed
- Provide support during eye exams and procedures
- Assist with pediatric patients as required
- Demonstrate excellent patient care and communication skills
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical setting, preferably in ophthalmology or optometry
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in handling medical records and billing processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
