About the Opportunity Job Summary A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Saavedra lab in the Department of Biology at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. The lab is interested in understanding the mechanisms that drive innate immune responses during host-microbe interactions. The candidate will also have numerous opportunities for career & professional growth Key Responsibilities · Design, execute, analyze and interpret experiments independently · Present research findings at lab meetings and scientific conferences · Help mentoring undergraduate and graduate student Qualifications · Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, cell biology or related areas · Experience with in vivo animal models of intestinal diseases and multi-color flow cytometry · At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal · Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English · Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills with strong attention to detail · Proactive, and able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic, diverse, and growing team Application Materials If interested in the position, please provide a CV, contact of three references, and a cover letter explaining why you are interested in the position and your future career goals.
