Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist the Human Resources Director with the hiring process: review job applications, schedule interviews, work with the compliance coordinator for information needed in the pre-hire process and the training coordinator
2. Maintain driver’s personnel’s files, term files, I9 files, Timesheets and W4s
3. Assist the Agency HR Director with maintaining FMLA, Work Comp, Cumulated Leave, unemployment paperwork health and life insurance enrollments, and speaking with attorney offices and investigators that involve driver lawsuits regarding human resource issues such as worker’s compensation, and Maintain and manage transportation drivers’ employee personnel records and leave, i. e. FMLA, Workman’s Comp, Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Comp Time/OT and driver insurance enrollment
4. Review handbook with newly hired drivers during training
5. Maintain compliant and corrective action files for Human Resources Director
6. Prepare separation letters and notices for the Human Resources Director
7. Attend conferences and trainings as requested by the Human Resources Director
8. Oversee the Transportation Title VI program
Required Knowledge and Skills
1. Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or three years of HR experience in lieu of degree.
2. Must possess good human relation skills with the ability to communicate effectively
3. Must have good judgment and temperament to effectively and diplomatically deal with the public
Physical Requirements
Requirements include some walking inside: carrying no greater than 25 lbs.; stooping; bending; hearing/listening; clear concise speech; typing; sitting for long periods; good vision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
