As a Senior Development Accountant, you won’t just crunch numbers, you’ll serve as a financial partner throughout the development lifecycle of our residential projects. This is a high-impact role supporting our growth from dirt to delivery, ensuring that every financial detail aligns with our strategic vision.

What You’ll Do

In this development-focused role, you'll support the full cycle of real estate development accounting, from pre-construction through stabilization. You'll collaborate with project managers, the development team, lenders, and third-party partners to provide financial clarity and accountability at every stage.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage accounting processes for active development projects, including monthly and quarterly reporting
• Prepare and track monthly construction draws and lender requisitions
• Review and approve development-related AP and draw documentation for accuracy and contract compliance
• Partner with development managers to review budgets, actuals, and forecasts
• Maintain and reconcile project general ledgers, including detailed job cost tracking
• Prepare monthly development financial packages and variance analyses
• Record journal entries including capitalization of development costs and fee accruals
• Track construction loan activity and interest reserves
• Assist in preparing and reviewing pro formas, internal return models, and investment reporting
• Support audits, tax preparation, and compliance requests related to development entities

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5 years of experience in real estate accounting, preferably with a focus on development or construction
• Familiarity with real estate capital structures, development timelines, and construction lending
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
• Excel proficiency and the ability to work in project-based accounting systems (experience with Yardi, MRI, or Procore is a plus)
• Clear communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple active projects and deadlines

Your Work Environment

• Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 annually (Paid Hourly - based on experience)
• Bonus: Performance-based
• Schedule: In-office for the first 90–120 days; hybrid schedule available based on performance and business needs

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
