Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager implements the division's strategic People plan to attract, develop, and retain the workforce. The Human Resources Manager works with leadership teams in an effort to improve departmental as well as organizational effectiveness. Partners with other HR functions as needed to identify, develop and deliver projects which align with business objectives.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Business Partner: Utilizes people management data and analysis tools to translate current and future business needs into integrated strategic plans. Understands and creates process efficiencies. Adapts processes to organizational and people strategies which are aligned to the business plan. Implementation of the strategic People plan.
  • Consultant: Coaches and mentors leaders to achieve a more refined “people management” skill set. Promotes management practices which create high performance culture and team effectiveness. Continually monitors HR metrics (i.e. - turnover figures, engagement, employee satisfaction) in an effort to facilitate the improvement of leadership, organizational and team effectiveness. Fosters teamwork, innovative resolution and inclusion.
  • Change Agent: Understands external trends and issues in healthcare. Applies knowledge to diagnose and drive systemic change. Acts as a catalyst for building Organizational Effectiveness within the business. Facilitates the understanding among the NHC leadership team of HR programs and trends which have an impact on their business. Identifies and solicits appropriate levels of business support and sponsorship for HR initiatives. Conducts necessary training with leadership to support the People pillar.
  • Business and HR Management: Works collaboratively with HR partners to identify and lead implementation of evidence based HR programs and practice ensuring an effective, sustainable people strategy over the long term. Provides business specific feedback to the HR team for design and delivery improvement of client ready solutions (i.e. - improvement to self service models, interactive applications, etc.).

Qualifications

Required:
  • Three years in Human Resources
  • Bachelor Degree
Desired:
  • One year in a healthcare setting
  • Master Degree
  • Professional in Human Resources
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources
