What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Envelope Project Manager position at Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC?
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Building Enclosure Consultant (Project Manager) for our Kennesaw, GA location.
Responsibilities will include:
- Project management and technical oversight of building envelope, facilities, and roofing projects
- Daily client management and correspondence
- Building envelope assessments, roofing- façade- waterproofing condition assessment, litigation support, field testing, and distress studies.
- Perform and/or direct field investigations, including moisture intrusion, non-destructive testing and fenestration/façade testing.
- Assist with design construction documents related to roof replacement, building enclosure refurbishment, glazed assembly replacement, and associated building enclosure remediation work.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Education
- 8 years building enclosure/roofing consulting experience.
- The following certifications are a huge plus: Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC), Registered Roof Observer (RRO), Certified Infrared Thermographer (CIT).
- Competent in identifying and solving constructability, integration, design, troubleshooting, durability, continuity, structural behavior, thermal property evaluation, sustainability, and maintenance/ operation of building envelopes/roofing systems.
- Valid State Driver’s License with clean driving record.
- Technically competent in effective communicating with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, as report writing is a major part of the position.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform work in outdoor temperature extremes
- Ability to lift equipment up to 50lbs.
- Ability to occasionally overnight travel in and out of state.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability/certification to operate a mechanical boom lift, or willingness to become certified in operation.
