Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Collections Specialist to support day-to-day accounts receivable and collections activities. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting or finance career who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.

This position will work closely with the Billing & Collections Manager and support ongoing efforts to improve cash flow and customer payment timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with outbound collections efforts (email and phone follow-ups)

  • Monitor AR aging reports and flag past-due accounts

  • Apply customer payments and assist with cash application

  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies

  • Support invoice generation and delivery

  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation

  • Assist with month-end AR close processes

  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Comfortable communicating with customers professionally

  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred

  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office

Nice to Have

  • Experience in IT, SaaS, or professional services environments

  • Exposure to high-volume invoicing or B2B collections

  • Desire to grow into a senior AR or accounting role
