We are seeking a Controller to become a PERMANENT, full-time member of our consulting team in Austin, TX. (This is not a contract role.) Earn annual salary in the range of $110k - $150k plus benefits
Controllers are ready to use their finely tuned technical skills and knowledge of GAAP to help businesses achieve goals. These confident, resourceful leaders roll up their sleeves to solve problems and advise stakeholders. Always mitigating risk and maximizing profit. Accounting experience gives Controllers wisdom beyond the numbers.
Examples of Controller Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and oversee accounting operations (such as A/R, A/P, GL, payroll).
- Perform job costing, WIP, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, etc.
- Set controls, budgets and metrics.
- Produce accurate, timely reports.
- Accomplish month-end and year-end close processes.
- Standardize and maintain systems.
- Conduct internal audits; comply with external audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Contribute to managements financial decision-making processes.
- Train other staff members.
- Orchestrate change.
Qualifications:
- Degree in accounting or finance.
- GAAP proficiency.
- Experience with consulting or audit (preferred).
- Experience managing accounting groups (preferred).
- Analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Command of the full cycle of accounting
