Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Month with possible extension
Overview:
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of military refrigeration and thermal management systems. This role involves hands-on engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and ownership of medium-complexity projects in a military/aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
- Serve as Project/Cognizant Engineer for assigned projects
- Perform drawing checks and ensure compliance with ANSI Y14.5
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers
Qualifications:
- BSME required; Master’s preferred
- 5–7 years of experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical system design
- Hands-on testing and hardware experience required
- Strong knowledge of heat transfer and fluid dynamics
- Military or aerospace industry experience required
- Experience with hydraulics, controls, basic electronics, and servo mechanisms preferred
- Understanding of military specifications and project engineering principles
