Emergency Veterinarian Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to join our dynamic and growing team at Big Sky Animal Medical Center in Great Falls, Montana. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, imaging, and surgical equipment, allowing you to practice emergency medicine in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat emergency medical conditions, including trauma, poisoning, acute illness, and surgical emergencies.
• Provide life-saving interventions such as CPR, fluid resuscitation, and advanced pain management.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide high-quality care for patients.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about their pet's condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.

Our ideal candidate has a DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school, proven experience in emergency and critical care veterinary medicine, or a willingness to learn. They must possess strong clinical skills, including diagnostics, emergency surgery, and trauma management, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassion and empathy towards animal care and client communication are essential for success in this role.
