What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at O'Hara Outdoors?
As an Account Manager you will be responsible for ensuring our company’s quality and customer service standards are consistently achieved through proper account management. As an Account Manager, you will be the face of the company and your focus will be on building and maintaining long term relationships with your portfolio of residential/commercial accounts.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the customer service liaison and advocate for clients
- Effectively and timely respond to all customer needs, issues and concerns, in a timely manner
- Identify upsell opportunities at each site to maximize sales and to keep each property looking its best on behalf of the customer
- Build a strong customer base by identifying prospective clients, while creating relationships to generate referrals with new and existing clients
- Be able and willing to prospect for new customers, which will include cold calling.
- Actively educate clients on best management practices and perform regular property walk-throughs to ensure customer satisfaction, audit quality of services provided and to identify available services we could provide to improve the overall site appearance
- Collaborate with our internal design team and other colleagues to develop landscape design proposals that meet customer specifications
- Prepare and present estimates/proposals to new or existing clients
- Own the bidding cycle: Estimate costs associated with project(s) installation, Present design proposals to customers , Overcome objections and obstacles to close sale
- Prepare and submit yearly contract renewals of your portfolio within your assigned territory
- Perform correct cadence of Quarterly business Reviews at the client locations.
- Attend company and department meeting as required
- Assist with helping develop marketing i.e. fliers, etc. or other strategies to increase business within your assigned territory
- Fully embrace CRM duties and calendar management (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
- Own the CRM data integrity of your assigned accounts and prospects, such as collecting emails, etc.
- Involvement with accounts Receivable collections when prompted.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Horticulture related education or certification. College degree preferred.
- Prior experience in the landscape industry and local market preferred
- Strong plant identification and turf knowledge
- Ability to learn industry specific software quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Present a strong sense of ambition, self-motivation, and self-discipline
- Valid driver’s license
- Bilingual is a plus
