Quality Inspector or Quality Assurance (Machine Shop)

We are a fast paced production Manufacturing Facility in Chatsworth, CA which has been providing excellent service to a broad base of customers for over 35 years and we are looking to hire a Quality Inspector.

This Quality Inspector should possess quality characteristics such as teamwork, positive attitude, and solid work ethic to support our manufacturing company.

This Quality Inspector should be able to interpret blueprints (Engineering Drawings) of complex machined parts and be able to inspect parts accurately.

This Quality Inspector should be able to inspect Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (True position, Runout, Concentricity, Flatness, Perpendicularity, etc.)

This Quality Inspector should be able to inspect complex machining parts by using manual hand tools (height gauge, micrometer, Sunnen gage, bore gauge, pitch micrometer, optical comparator, and other hand tools)

This Quality Inspector should be able to create First Article Report per AS9102

This Quality Inspector will have 10 years of recent inspection experience in the manufacturing & aerospace industry utilizing current methods

This Quality Inspector should have strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (True position, Runout, Concentricity, Flatness, Perpendicularity, etc.)

This Quality Inspector must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.

This Quality Inspector must be able to work well in teams with others from diverse organizational functions and backgrounds as both a leader and an individual contributor.

This Quality Inspector position requires strong communication skills and the ability to interface with individuals at all levels and functions of the business.

This Quality Inspector will regularly work with restricted information and must be able and willing to keep this information confidential.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Our preference is that this individual hold certification in precision inspection and other related disciplines.

This Quality Inspector will regularly be required to stand, walk, talk, sit, use hands to handle objects and feel controls; reach; climb stairs; stoop; crouch and have vision capabilities that enable reading and viewing measurement devices and computer screen.

The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
