DYS is the juvenile corrections system for the state of Ohio. DYS is statutorily mandated to confine felony offenders, ages 10-21, who have been adjudicated and committed by one of Ohio's 88 county juvenile courts. During their stay with DYS, youth are engaged in programming that is designed to address their criminological and behavioral needs. DYS reaches thousands of youth in facilities and those on parole.
Our Guiding Principles…
Specifically, the Storekeeper 2 will:
- Receive, inspect, sort, store & distribute stock & supplies throughout the facility: inventories & orders supplies, medication &/or equipment; receives, inspects, stores & distributes items; completes & maintains shipping, receiving & inventory records; prepares or oversees preparation of requisition orders.
- Assists in preparation of storeroom budget; operates pharmaceutical repackaging equipment to count fill, package, cap &/or label medication bottles &/or packages; oversees maintenance & maintains repackaging equipment; oversees maintenance of lot numbers & expiration dates.
- Labels &/or prices stock items; samples materials for laboratory inspection & approval; transports & provides security over inmates; unloads trucks; operates forklift &/or other equipment to move & store stock or equipment; supervise youth staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., participate in organized functions within facility & DYS, attend meetings, seminars &/or trainings related to area of expertise, etc.).
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
