Area Business Development Manager – Industrial/Commercial HVAC/Building Controls
Our client is looking for an area business development manager to develop business at both industrial/commercial locations, that have a blend of HVAC (annual preventative maintenance, ongoing maintenance of HVAC assets), building automation, energy optimization, and security service requirements. The area business development manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities for new sales at these locations for these services.
Note – direct sales experience is not a requirement for this position, looking for outgoing and experienced sales professionals, technical support provided on all sales.
Responsibilities:
· Create quality prospect list throughout assigned territory.
· Aptitude to successfully manage time to allow for lead generation, prospecting, presenting, and closing.
· Properly qualify prospects and uncover opportunities to partner with facilities.
· Capable of speaking to personnel at all levels of an organization to fully understand the customer’s business, budget, and decision-making processes to align our offerings with their core business objectives.
· Perform site surveys and asset inspections to obtain complete equipment lists.
· Able to successfully work with internal operations teams to appropriately estimate maintenance agreements.
· Effectively prepare and deliver solution offerings through presentations and face-to-face conversations.
· Ability to handle objections and negotiations effectively to the close of an opportunity.
· Fully utilize CRM tools to manage pipeline and sales activity.
· Upon close of Maintenance Agreement, mange internal and external agreement implementation processes to ensure a successful customer experience.
· Exercise a commitment to excellent customer service and a sense of urgency.
Qualifications
· Strong prospecting and sales skills
· Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business.
· Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills.
· Demonstrates an ability to influence account decision makers at key levels.
· CRM experience a plus.
