CNC Machine Operator will perform duties to set up and operate a number of different computerized numerical controlled machine tools to perform a wide range of turning, drilling and tapping operations on various complex component parts of mechanical shaft seals in a work cell environment in a production mode
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Validate correct material is loaded per the work order traveler
- Ensure part is load with correct grain direction
- Secure part within the holding fixture
- Ensure the programmed dimensions are loaded into the machine correctly
- Monitor 1st part run at every operation and obtain first part buy off by inspection
- Deburr parts as needed
- Ability to complete necessary paperwork and clocking within ERP system
Requirements
- Minimum Two years’ experience operating 3 or 4 Axis CNC Machines
- Must be able to do your own setups
- Be able to read and understand design blueprints/drawings
- Must be able to operate more than one machine at a time
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to use precision measuring instruments to verify the accuracy of your own parts
- Must be able to identify correct cutters for each job
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Background Check.
