Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Leader will be responsible for leading the development of our food and beverage operations, including training and mentoring staff, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional guest service. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a key leadership role and contribute to the success of our hotel.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff training.
- Manage a team of servers, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses to ensure exceptional guest service and high-quality food and beverage offerings.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards, including cleanliness and presentation of dishes, bars, and restaurants.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as culinary and housekeeping, to ensure seamless service delivery and minimize downtime.
- Conduct pre-meal meetings to review menus, discuss special events, and communicate important information to staff.
- Implement effective communication strategies to keep staff informed and engaged.
- Develop and implement action plans to address performance issues or areas for improvement.
- Participate in interviewing and selecting new staff members, as needed.
Requirements
- One year of experience in food and beverage supervision or management preferred.
- A two-year college degree in hospitality management or related field is required.
- Must have excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under stressful situations and handle challenges in a professional manner.
- Understanding of food and beverage financials, including cost and par controls.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be ServSafe certified.
