The Position: *This is not a full-time remote position*
- Audits and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically orby paper for Medical, Dental and Behavioral health services.
- Answers questions from patients, clerical staff, and insurance companies.
- Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints.
- Evaluates patient’s financial status and establishes budget payment plans.
- Performs various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting, and resubmitting claims to third-party payers.
- Auto post and hand post payments from insurance companies
- Identify, appeal and resolve insurance denials and report denial trends to Billing Director
- Verify eligibility, benefits and claim status on various insurance websites
- Work and resolve AR claims
- Maintain clearinghouse denials
- Option to work 2 days remotely per week after 90 day intro period.

Pay: Competitive, based on education and experience
Requirements:
- Billing and/or Coding Certification recommended
- 5 years of Billing experience
- Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
- Strong computer and technical skills and familiarity with Excel, Outlook, Word
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and organizational abilities
- Experience with various insurance websites (MITS, Availity, etc.)
- Ability to work on a team and also independently
