What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly position at Onin Staffing?
- Works in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, training, and discipline.
- Inspects seats visually for cosmetic defects according to customer standard.
- Inspects seats for assembly completion (No missing parts and properly functions).
- Checks torque of fasteners/bolts required by specification.
- Reports quality issues to Team Leader and rejects nonconforming seats.
- Follows standardized inspection procedures and work sequence for each process.
- Works with Team Leader to improve standardized processes/methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process/methods.
- Directly responsible for performance of assigned work area.
- Works in a team environment on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects.
- Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested.
- Understands and follows all SAIA policies and procedures.
- Remains proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process.
- Uses key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Work Experience
- Focuses on employee relations centered on trust and teamwork.
- Experience with gages like steel scale, slide caliper.
- Demonstrates understanding of customer’s standard for seat inspection.
- Focuses on continually improving skills as outlined during performance review.
- Attends all required training as outlined on the SAIA training matrix.
- Basic math skills are required.
