Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be working out of our World Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ. This is a fulltime position and may require occasional overtime. This worker will perform building maintenance and repair work in areas such as electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical equipment repair, and forklift & scissor lift repair. Participation in various stages of remodeling and renovation will also be expected, utilizing the strengths of the facilities team. This worker will be expected to work both independently and within a team throughout various projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Performs scheduled maintenance tasks to support manufacturing, assembly, and office areas.
- Detects, reports and repairs defective equipment, damages, and any questionable conditions to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
- Repair’s facilities equipment and tools as well as minor equipment repairs.
- Contacts, schedules and meets with vendors to facilitate repairs.
- Conducts inspections of building grounds at all locations and reports findings to the Facilities Manager
- Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must value integrity and a strong work ethic.
- Must possess knowledge of forklift and scissor lift repair.
- Self-motivated individual, able to work without direct supervision when needed.
- Works well in a team atmosphere.
- Previous experience in a similar position(s) is required and/or related work in technical or building industries
- Ability to determine root cause of equipment failure and think through operations and functions of new equipment, researching equipment schematics as needed.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to work from heights on ladders and lifts.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
