Position Responsibilities:
- Scheduling patients for physical and orthopedic occupational therapy at ORA Physical Therapy clinics and other facilities where applicable
- Providing patients with information about ORA Physical Therapy services, physical therapists, and what to expect
- Tracking inbound capture rate on a periodic basis; responsible for meeting patient capture rate metrics
- Sending therapy orders to outbound therapy clinics when applicable
- Responsible for administration of the patient therapy orders que and pending insurance verifications and authorizations
- Assisting with verifying insurance benefits and authorizations
- Assists in the administration of FOTO and FOTO systems
- Updating and maintaining all therapy scheduling coordinator systems and spreadsheets
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPPA rules and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Customer service and appointment scheduling experience in a medical office or therapy clinic preferred
- Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
