Position Summary
Orange EV is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Associate within our Program Management Office to research, analyze, and lead the compliance efforts for on-road and off-road vehicles.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth reviews of federal, state, and other applicable laws and regulations and provide interpretations of those laws and regulations including Canada
- Communicates changes and updates to laws and regulations pertaining to existing and future products
- Collaborate with numerous internal teams including Legal, Business Development, Design Engineering, Process Engineering, and Validation and Quality during product development to assist in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate closely with Program Chiefs and Legal Department to ensure Orange EV products comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Develop internal knowledge bank of laws and regulations pertaining to Class 8 trucks and other vehicle types
- Organize and manage tasks specific to regulatory compliance through Jira Software
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated ability to understand technical materials and communicate to non-technical audiences effectively
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means to various audiences
- High level of organization managing multiple tasks of various sizes on different schedules with ever-changing levels of priority
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and plan ahead; proactive work ethic
- Conduct daily activities with integrity and professionalism
- Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, and Teams
Ideal Candidates Will Also Have
- Experience and knowledge in interpreting FMVSS, FMCSA, and other automotive and transportation regulations including similar regulations in Canada
- Basic knowledge of Jira Software
