Residential Manager Boynton
Full Time Monday -Friday 8am-4pm Varies Flexible hours
SUMMARY: Manage CLA Supported Living Homes ensuring all requirements and needs for the individuals are met. Manage the DSP staff working at these homes. Ensure Regulatory Compliance at the home. Assist the Director or other Administrative Staff and Coordinators in the operations of the Georgia CLA Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AND OTHER DUTIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED (This is in addition to or supersedes the duties and responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional):
- Manage the affairs of the house(s) to which you are assigned. This includes assuring that meals are prepared, the home is clean, laundry is completed, and the house is supplied with food, supplies and personal items for the individual.
- Manage the household budgets as well as spending money for the individual(s). Maintain all receipts per OGC guidelines. Ensure bills and mail are turned in to Coordinator/Director as soon as they are received.
- Supervise, train and support staff and ensure that all shifts are covered to meet the required staffing plan and minimize overtime. This includes being on call for your assigned homes. Make sure all staff are clocking in and out on all shifts. Check this daily or when on shift.
- Responsible to train the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) assigned to the house to be competent to handle situations. You must ensure they are trained on all aspects pertaining to the individuals. This includes Training Specific to the Individual (TSI/SIT), Mealtime Plans and Cards, Behavior Support Plans (BSP), Seizure Protocols, Physical Therapy Plans, Occupational Plans, etc. as applies to the individuals. Make sure they are trained to carry out the plans and the appropriate documentation/ Forms. Make sure DSP's and subs are familiar with the computer and how to enter daily notes.
- Ensure all Daily Notes are completed in each house for each shift every day. These need to be completed in a timely manner and ensure they meet the standards and reflect the person's ISP actions and outcomes.
- Ensure Training Specific to the Individual and Mock Fire Drills are completed by DSP's and/or Subs on the first day they work in the home. These must be turned in to the Coordinator/Director on the next business day.
- Complete a weekly shift schedule that is turned in to the Coordinator/Director by Monday for the upcoming week. Update Coordinator/Director as shifts are filled and/or changes are made.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly paperwork and submit it on time (Weekly paperwork: Shift schedules, activity scheduled, attendance sheets (this is completed online daily and submitted weekly), transportation sheets for OGC vehicles; check requests, etc. Monthly paperwork: budget sheets, receipts, behavior data, any other data (such as specific logs: i.e. blood sugar, blood pressure checks, etc.)
- Daily checks (when on shift) of all documentation - transportation sheets, daily notes, sleep data, any tracking logs, MAR's, etc.
- Attend meetings and doctor appointments. Check computer daily for any appointments. Make sure there are no conflicts with appointments. Notify the nurse if something needs to be rescheduled.
- Schedule activities and outings for the upcoming week for the individuals and arrange transportation, funds, etc. For the activities/outings: talk with individuals first, check newspaper, and align activities with ISP/ Plan goals. Send schedule to the Coordinator/Director every Monday morning and let the Coordinator/Director know of changes as these schedules may be flexible depending on the person supported.
- Assure medications are given and documented correctly as ordered by physicians. If you are present (working in home), you will give the medications or give oversight of self-administration. Make sure to check the meds every day you work, especially any new medications picked up at the pharmacy. Assure correct medication documentation and note any new medications are transcribed and correct on the MAR's. If there are controlled medications, i.e. Psychotropic Medications, be sure to check the control sheet and complete the Shift Verification Sheet.
- Check mailboxes at main Ringgold Center each day.
- Responsible for monthly Medication transitions and returning old medications on your scheduled day for transition.
- Attend COS meetings.
- Keep Director and Coordinator advised of everything (staff issues, issues involving the individuals, family concerns, etc.).
- Make sure the schedule is followed as closely as possible to minimize OT. Try to fill open shifts with the staff at the house. This will insure the individuals have the best-trained staff to attend to their needs. If no sub staff can be scheduled, it is the Residential Manager's responsibility to work the shift.
Residential Managers oversee the overall condition, cleanliness and maintenance of the
house (inside and out). Any issues should be reported to the Coordinator/Director as soon as possible and immediately if it is an urgent maintenance or repair need.

Residential Manager works 40 hours per week and will be on call 24/7 for emergencies in the home. On call would mean for any and all emergency situations the Residential Manager will be contacted. The Residential Manager may need to make phone calls to get assistance and/ or come to the home to assist with the situation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises the DSP's assigned to the house(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include mentoring and training, communicating consistently and professionally, Appraising Performance, Employment Documentation, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems under the direction of the Coordinator/Director.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary degree preferred. Supervisory experience, years of experience working as a DSP is a plus, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of the required physical examination by a physician approved by Orange Grove. Successful completion of the Work Capacity Requirements listed in the job description addendum.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of the Medication Administration Course, a valid driver's license. Willingness to work with individuals not related to you in a family atmosphere. Interest in helping individuals with various physical and mental challenges to achieve their full potential.
Successful completion of the required orientations and on-going trainings.
