What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) position at ORIGINS FAMILY COUNSELING, LLC?
Are you getting ready to graduate with your Master's Degree in a counseling-related field, or have you recently graduated and are looking for a place to land where you will receive thoughtful support in improving your skills and getting you to the next level of experience? If so, we have a wonderful opportunity at our clinic for an entry-level marriage and family therapist!
Origins is committed to being a teaching practice where new therapists can build their counseling skills and techniques with collaborative supervision and training. Our vision is to pour into our Resident providers so that it spills out into the care we are giving to our community's mental wellness. In considering our next group of Residents, we are looking for candidates who are interested in working with children, families, or couples in addition to tradition counseling for individuals with emotional, behavioral, and mental health struggles.
Responsibilities include guiding patients through crises, diagnosing psychological disorders, highlighting problematic patterns that need to be changed, improving communication, and assisting patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors.
You must hold temporary LMFTA license and have applied to take your AMFTRB licensing board exam to obtain regular LMFTA license. We will consider students getting ready to graduate from their Master's Degree Program within the next month for this position with a start date upon graduation and attainment of a temporary LMFTA. The ideal candidate will have a focus area in working with either children and families or with couples. We are hiring for both skill sets. If you are devoted to providing high-quality care to individuals and families, please apply today!
