Primary Purpose
The Inside Sales Representative – Coatings will aid in the expansion of the MEDCO, AIM, and ALCO coatings business by targeting and converting new coatings opportunities. Also, under the supervision of the Vice President of Business Development - Coatings, the specialist will assist in finding, identifying targets, business development of current customers, and in the identification of new coatings conversion targets. The specialist will also collaborate with Business Development Associates, Business Development Managers, Business Development Representatives, and with Sales Leadership to sell affiliated products, drive new business and assist in training of both customers and their targets as appropriate. Finally, the specialist will provide technical support to both end users and to customers, as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Works with qualified coatings prospects and current customers
- Assists Business Development Associates and Business Development Representatives in facilitating new customer opportunities
- Works with Business Development Associates and Business Development Representatives to facilitate the sale of affiliated products and drive new business with coatings prospects and customers
- Works with coatings manufacturers to provide technical support as needed
- Understands and demonstrate the MEDCO vision and culture when interacting with customers, co-workers, and with vendor partners
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Strong background in Coatings and Collision industry
- Strong background in business development and customer conversion
- Excellent communication and interaction skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong self-motivator
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of Coatings and Collision Industry Sales Experience
- High School diploma
- Proven experience with Excel and cost saving initiatives (CSI)
