GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
A Clinic Assistant helps create a positive experience for our patients any time they visit OrthoArkansas PA. The primary responsibilities include welcoming patients as they enter the clinic, obtain information before and during their appointment, and ensure their care is worthy of every good phone call made as they leave. Ultimately, you will work directly with patients to process information and assist our Physicians and Extenders during clinic appointments as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Room patients in clinic and obtain blood pressure and reconcile medications.
- Enter Provider orders PT, DME, DX tests, surgeries into EMR.
- Schedule tests and surgeries, notify patients and facilities.
- Return phone calls.
- Enter and send medication refills.
- Clean and stock exam rooms and nurse station with supplies.
- Wound care and dressing changes.
- Injection medication draws and site prep.
- Cover the Triage (ER) phone line.
- Complete disability or medical forms for patients.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or other related skills.
- 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines.
- Previous Clinic Assistant experience preferred.

- Medical Assistant Certification
SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
- Basic: Database, Payroll Systems, Word Processing/Typing

Thursday's at our Little Rock Location, 8am to 5pm
Up to 8 hours per day
