General Description of Position:
The Patient Ambassador plays a vital role in enhancing patient satisfaction and overall experience at our clinic, including providing curbside check-in services. The Patient Ambassador ensures that patients feel welcomed, supported, and well-informed throughout their visit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
- Warmly greet patients at the front door upon their arrival. This duty is performed daily.
- Assist patients in and out of vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort. This duty is performed daily.
- Transport patients and families to and from their vehicles using a provided cart, when requested. This duty is performed daily.
- Conduct curbside check-in for patients, providing efficient and friendly service. This duty is performed daily.
Support and Education:
- Assist patients with understanding and using the patient portal. This duty is performed daily.
- Provide patient education as needed, ensuring they are well-informed about their visit and any follow-up actions. This duty is performed daily.
Problem Solving:
- Serve as a point of contact for resolving patient needs and concerns, acting as a problem solver to enhance their experience. This duty is performed daily.
Other Duties:
- Perform any other related duties as assigned. This duty is performed daily.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0 to 6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
- Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions when assisting patients with curbside check-in and transportation.
