Starting pay for this position is $23.04/hour; base pay offered may increase based on experience, skills and internal equity.
Travel is required to Kewanee high School and Athletic events.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Athletic Trainer provides athletic training services to OSF stakeholders, including organizations and schools. Assists with operational functions and patient care for OSF HealthCare providers. Working in collaboration with the physician and care team, focuses on the prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of injuries incurred by athletes. Supports the provider in the clinical care of the athlete or patient and may help facilitate alignment within OSF. May contribute to the development of community program objectives for the health promotion, wellbeing, and education of athletes, patients, and their support systems.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelors degree from accredited athletic training program
Certification:
- Athletic trainer licensure in current state
- Current American Heart Association BLS required prior to start date of employment
- Ability to travel to assigned work locations
- National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) within 90 days of hire
Other Skills:
- Basic computer skills and experience with online documentation PREFERRED
