What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Counter Associate position at OTR Manufacturing?
On The Road Trailer is a fast paced, growing trailer sales, manufacturing and repair facility. We have a large inventory of Fisher Plow parts and trailer parts. The position would be a Parts Associate that would work at the counter directly with customers and in the warehouse.
We are looking to hire immediately and would train the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with their inquiries
- Process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform inventory management tasks
- Collaborate with sales management to achieve sales targets and goals
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and business opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with dealership partners
- Negotiate pricing and terms with customers and suppliers
- Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies
- Multilingual skills are a plus, as it may be necessary to communicate with customers in different languages
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Strong sales skills and ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of retail math and ability to perform calculations accurately
- Experience in sales management or related field is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Pay: $19.08 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 47 per week
