Our Airline Ramp Agents are responsible for providing safe, professional, and dependable services to Sun Country Airlines at Williston Basin International Airport, including ground handling of arriving and departing aircraft, unloading and loading luggage, emptying aircraft lavatories, and cleaning aircraft interiors. JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Airline Ramp Agent
Status: Part-Time
Position Reports to: Overland Aviation Airline Operation Supervisor
Compensation: $20/hour DOE
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare for aircraft arrival and departure by readying equipment such as tow vehicles, wheel chocks, and belt-loaders; taking positions; removing debris from tarmac.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload baggage and cargo of various weight and dimensions to and from aircraft and airport baggage areas.
- Operate ground service equipment to service the aircraft and its passengers.
- Operate heavy, motorized machinery/equipment including, but not limited to tugs, tractors, belt loaders, bag carts, pushback tractors, deicers, etc.
- Marshal aircraft to and from gates (e.g. directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing, and towed aircraft).
- Service aircraft as needed (e.g. interior cleaning and supply replenish, aircraft lavatories, window wash, potable water, and deicing).
- Responsible for aircraft security searches as required.
- Timely report safety and operational issues, including equipment requiring service.
- Follow safety regulations, which include the proper use of ground service equipment and wearing proper safety items.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with flight crews, team members, and station leadership.
- Have proficient computer skills.
- Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive employment, criminal record, and residence background check.
- Participation in random drug screenings.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work on Mondays and Thursdays, from approximately 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, starting September 4th through December 15th.
Physical Demands:
- Lift 70 pounds up to 120 pounds on a regular basis.
- Stand, lift, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, push and pull on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Work around jet and machinery noises.
Salary : $20
