What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Help Desk Assistant position at P & A Administrative Services, Inc?
Description
The Jr. Help Desk Assistant is responsible for providing technical assistance and support for incoming concerns and issues related to systems, software and hardware from P&A employees and users of P&A systems.
Effective performance of all duties and responsibilities for the position will result in minimal tickets, and limit disruptions to P&A employees technical work environment.
Assisting with general help desk tasks such as:
o Complete password resets as needed as requested
o Jira ticket monitoring
o PC Reboots
· Responsible for monitoring SentinelOne console and responding to threats/mitigate.
· Assist with building PC’s: Responsible for set up of new employees to P&A Group on local “in-office” equipment and confirm remote equipment is correct and granted access for first day of work
· Responsible for Veeam disk integrity check.
· Responsible in assisting with asset inventory in AssetTiger
· Help organize and keep the IT department clean and free of hardware not being used (switches, cables etc.)
· Complete ongoing in-office and remote workstation troubleshooting on OS’s, VPN, Network, Audio/Visual and Power issues
· Monitor Whats Up Gold notification dashboard.
· Assist team with updates to software and hardware across the entire organization using ManageEngine and Rapid7 software tools.
· Position may require off hours and weekend work for maintenance and emergencies
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
· Enrolled at a college/university with a major in Information Technology/Computer Science is preferred
· Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
· Experience with Microsoft Windows OS
· Basic understanding of general IT networking
